Transportation to Airport from Bakü City Center

Heydar Aliyev Intl. Airport

Located along the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan’s capital Baku is a rising star in the East gaining notoriety for its oil, gas, and caviar. Airport Buses

The easiest and cheapest way to get to the airport from the city center is by airport bus. Bus line 116 departs from Vurgun Park, located in central Baku, and takes about 50 minutes to get to the airport.

Metro

The metro system in Baku provides transportation to many central locations in the city like the Old City, 28 May Street, and the Caspian Sea. However, to get to the airport from the city center you have to first take the metro and then get on a bus. From central locations in the city like the Old City, Cafer Cabbari, and Khatai you can take the metro to the 28 May and Koroglu stations. From here you can get on bus line 116, which runs to the airport or take a taxi to the airport.   

Personal Car

Since the city is rich in oil, fuel is cheap, making traveling by car a very attractive option. Getting to the city center from the airport is very easy. One of the city’s most important avenues, Heydar Aliyev Avenue will connect you to the Boyuk Shor Highway, which goes to the airport. From the highway take the Airport exit. The airport contains indoor and outdoor parking lots where you can park your personal car for a certain fee.

The airport has 2 terminals, Terminal 1, which was completely renovated, and Terminal 2, which serves domestic flights. The airport contains world famous fast food chains like Burger King, McDonald’s, and KFC, as well as restaurants that offer delicious flavors unique to Azerbaijani cuisine.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is located 28 km north of the city center. Baiyun International Airport is the main airport serving Guangzhou, which is the capital of the Guangdong province in China. You can get to the city center from the airport using a variety of transportation alternatives, including taxi, metro, and bus.

Taxi

Taxis are the fastest and most reliable transportation alternative to get to the city center from Baiyun International Airport. However traffic conditions can be quite bad at times, so take that into consideration when picking a method of transportation to get to the city. Taxis are accessible in front of the arrivals hall at the airport.

Bus

Passengers who are going to cities outside of Guangzhou from Baiyun International Airport can go by bus. These buses provide convenient transportation to Dongguan, Foshan, Zhonghan, Huizhon Jiangmen, Nanhai, Quingyuan, Shenzen, Shunde, Taishan, Yunfu, Zhaoqing, Zhuhai and Wuzhou. These buses take about 1 hour.

Express Buses

The inner-city buses in Guangzhou are express buses. These buses provide easy transportation to various stations in the city, major hotels, plazas, and squares. These buses take approximately 20-30 minutes and are accessible in front of the terminal building. The bus you need to take will vary depending on your destination in the city.

Metro

Due to the heavy traffic in the city the metro is the most preferred transportation alternative, as it is the fastest and most affordable option. The metro is accessible from the Airport South Station and provides quick transportation to the city. The metro operates every day of the week, from 6:10 am to midnight. Stops along Metro Line 3 from the airport include Renhe, Longgui, Jiahewanggang, Baiyundadaobei, Yongtai, Tonghe, Jingxti Nanfang Hospital, Meiuayuan, Yantang, Guangzhou East Railway, Linhexi and Tiyu Xilu.
