Asbestos Hill Airport, that allows passengers to reach Asbestos Hill and the surrounding areas, is only a few kilometres outside the town centre. You can take a taxi or rent a car when going to the town centre. Besides taking a taxi or renting a car, taking a private shuttle is also a comfortable alternative. You might prefer to rent a car if you’re planning to stay for more than a couple of days or wanting to see surrounding area, but the taxis and shuttle services should be more than enough for short journeys.

Taxi

Taking a taxi from Asbestos Hill Airport terminal to Asbestos town centre is the most popular option for non-local tourists. This might be because being dropped off right in front of the hotel, with all of your luggage, after a short trip is extremely practical and economic. You might need to give a few dollars as a tip to the taxi driver. Besides this, taking the taxi is comfortable and taxi fares are in general not that high in Asbestos Hill. This is a particularly good option for those travelling with families or a large group of friends.

Private Shuttle

Aside from the taxis, you can use private shuttles to take you from Asbestos Hill Airport to the town centre. The cost of taking a private shuttle is usually similar to how much taking a taxi might set you back, but the vehicles used for the private shuttles are usually wider and more spacious. Because of this a large group might prefer to take a private shuttle instead of a taxi. Hotels sometimes also offer shuttles going from Asbestos Hill Airport to the centre. You can reserve such a service with your hotel by contacting them a few hours or a few days before your flight. Like the taxis, the private shuttles pick up passengers right in front of Asbestos Hill Airport terminal and take them directly to specific points in and around the centre.

Car Rental

Since public transport in the local area is not well developed, renting a car might also be a great idea. You can find and rent a car that suits your needs and your budget within minutes of landing in Asbestos Hill Airport.  All you need to do is to get in touch with renting agencies that operate in the Asbestos Hill area over the phone or online. The car rental agencies bring the rented vehicles to the front of the airport terminal for passengers, so just within a few minutes you can be in your rental car and already following the road signs pointing the way to Asbestos Hill.
