Norman Manley International Airport is located on a small side island off the main island of Jamaica. Reaching the city center from this airport is extremely easy. There are comfortable, regular bus departures, but if you are in a hurry you can also use a taxi or rent a private car as well.

Rent a car

The world-renowned Avis, Budget and Hertz firms can all be taken advantage of at the airport. With a private car you rented, you can reach the city center in about 20 minutes. Moreover, terrific views of the Caribbean Sea will accompany you along the way.

Taxi

It takes, on average, 20 minutes to reach the city center from the airport when you use a private taxi. But as the taxi meters are often turned off, you should negotiate or confirm the price with the taxi driver ahead of time.

Bus

Taking the bus number 98, which leaves from the departures gate of the airport, can bring you to the city center in about 40 minutes. The average ticket price is 120.00 Jamaican Dollars and buses depart every twenty minutes.
