Transportation to Airport from Lusaka City Center

Kenneth Kaunda Intl. Airport

Buses and minibuses are used in Lusaka city centre for transport, however there are no direct buses or minibuses that take you from the city centre to Lusaka Airport. As result you will need to arrange your transport to the airport privately. If your hotel offers a transfer service then you can talk to them, or you can take a taxi from the city centre. Lusaka Airport has been in service since 1967. Services at the airport include free Wi-Fi, tourist information, ATM machines, and resting lounges. In addition you can shop at Zambezi Jewels, Window into Africa, Flamingo Duy Free, Kingdom Venture and Newnachi, and get something to eat or drink at Cafe Expresso, Clay Oven, Tuku’s ya or Nsonge Walala Restaurant.

Transportation to Bristol City Center from Airport

Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport is located only 13 km from the city center. Traveling between the airport and the city center is extremely convenient and easy. Renting a car from the airport is a great way to get to the city center and explore its surroundings. If you would like to use public transportation then you can take a train or bus to the city center. A faster and more convenient transportation alternative to get to the city center would be by taxi; taxis are readily available outside the terminal.   

Train

The airport is not directly served by rail. The main train station, Bristol Temple Meads, is located about 13 km from the airport. There are regular bus services that provide easy transportation to the station. The Airport Flyer Express buses operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bus services to the station run every 10 minutes. Buses depart from the terminal and take about 30 minutes to reach Bristol Temple Meads. At this station you can transfer to various train lines that provide direct or connecting transportation to surrounding cities.  

Bus

Buses are another convenient transportation alternative to get to the city center and other nearby cities. Buses to the city center run every 8 minutes and cost 7 pounds.

It takes about 30 minutes to get to Bristol city center by bus. Buses to Bath take about 50 minutes and run every 30 minutes. The fare for this trip is 14 pounds.

To get to Cardiff from the airport by bus takes about an hour and 20 minutes. There are 12 services a day that operate between Bristol Airport and Cardiff. The fare for this trip is 10 pounds for a one way ticket.  

To get to Exeter from Bristol Airport by bus takes about an hour and 35 minutes. The fare for this trip is 13 pounds for a one way ticket. Buses to Exeter run every hour.

To get to Plymouth from Bristol Airport by bus takes about 3 hours. The fare for this trip is 22 pounds. Buses to Plymouth run every hour.

Car

The city center is easily accessibly from Bristol Airport by car, simply follow the signs and you’ll get to the city center in about 30 minutes.
