Harare, known as the largest city in the area, is the capital of Zimbabwe in the African continent. Harare is an important commercial center, with gold and iron fields. Consumer products such as tobacco, cotton, corn and citrus are grown in the city, and sent to different countries. Due to its geographical location, the Harare climate is quite warm and has a regular distribution. The weather is warm and humid between November and April, while the summers are cool and dry.
Green areas are concentrated in the city center. Greenwood Park, Harare Gardens, Heroes Acre Memorial, Zimbabwe National Archives Building, Mukuwisi Woodlands Zoo, National Botanical Gardens, Zimbabwe National Art Gallery, City Council, Tobacco Floor Museum, Human Sciences Museum and Parliament Building are among the places to visit. Local meals, mainly cooked with corn and potatoes, are among the most popular flavors of the city. Even though it offers choices from the world cuisine, the regional cuisine is dominant. The city center, with famous nightclubs that have echoed in the wide circles, also attracts attention with places where you can listen to live music. There is a great interest in the Harare bazaars, where detailed products especially with regards to jewelry are found. Several music festivals are organized in the city center in certain months. Some of those are Harare International Art Festival, Harare Jazz Festival, Jeunesses International Musical and Winter Jazz Music Festival.
