About Rabat
Rabat, located in the northwest of Morocco, is a city situated on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg. The Candles Festival, in which people wander on the streets of the city with lanterns, is also held in May.

The main ingredients of Rabat cuisine are spices. Especially saffron and mint are often used. Almost all of the dishes are made by using meat. Harira, tajine, seksu and bestila are some of the traditional dishes recommended to the visitors of the city. Tea also has an important place in Rabat culture.
