About Montego Bay

Montego Bay is one of the most important tourist cities in Jamaica, located in the north-west of the country. Christopher Columbus was the first Westerner to step foot on the island, which today is popular especially with  wealthy Jamacians, Americans, and Europeans thanks to its the luxurious hotels and resorts. The beauty of Montego Bay, which is a major tourist destination thanks to clear water, sandy beaches and, lush nature, can not be overlooked and was noticed by Hollywood location scouts in the 1980s. Following this discovery, Roger Moore's most famous movie, Live and Let Die, in which he played James Bond, was partially filmed here.

Doctor's Cave Beach is famous for its beaches and coastline. There is also a pavilion in the city called Rose Hall, which is believed to still be haunted by survivors of a terrible epedimic over 100 years ago. The only airport in the city is Sork Donald Sangster International Airport, 5 kilometers away. There is public transportation available around the island.
